Inspection, Servicing & Maintenance
Inspection, service and maintenance of fire protection equipment is carried out in accordance with a variety of Australian Standards, to ensure the fire safety systems installed in a building and plant are functioning as designed.
The routine inspection intervals of fire systems include weekly, monthly, three monthly, six monthly and annual in most cases, with some items requiring more detailed inspections at two, three and five yearly and so on.
The most common types of equipment, including portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, exit signs and emergency lights require six monthly inspections.
Most buildings require the owner to provide the local Council and Fire Brigade with an annual fire safety statement (AFSS) every twelve months, which provides documented evidence that all the fire systems are up to date and functioning as intended.
Survival Solutions can provide routine inspection, maintenance, repairs and certification for the following equipment.
